baramundi’s core business is the mid-market - and that’s exactly where our sales strength lies. As Head of New Business, you’ll lead the team that brings in new customers every day: sales executives who secure qualified customer meetings, present solutions, and close deals.

You’ll take over a team that’s already up and running - and make it even better. You’ll develop people, refine our messaging, boost the close rate, and ensure that good salespeople become excellent consultants. In doing so, you’ll work closely with the SDR team, which prepares the appointments, and ensure a clear, productive handoff into the sales process.

The goal is clear: Every client meeting focuses on the client’s problem, not our product. True value is created when you think alongside the client, not just present to them.

Do what you do best:


  • LEADING AND DEVELOPING A SALES TEAM You provide both technical and managerial leadership to the new business team (sales executives), help them build on their individual strengths, and offer clear, constructive feedback
  • ENSURING QUALITY IN CLIENT MEETINGS You ensure that client meetings are conducted in a value- and solution-oriented manner - with thorough discovery, clear value propositions, and jointly developed solution scenarios
  • STRATEGICLY MANAGING THE PIPELINE You are responsible for the pipeline at the team level and ensure that opportunities are properly maintained, prioritized, and actively managed - from qualification through to close
  • COACHING SALES EXECUTIVES You provide targeted development for your team - particularly in discovery, objection handling, demo delivery, and closing
  • ENSURING TRANSPARENCY AND CONTROL You are responsible for forecasting and reporting with a focus on close rates, pipeline health, and sustainable team development not on activity

  • Several years of experience in B2B software sales, ideally in the mid-market, with a focus on deal quality and a sustainable pipeline
  • Leadership experience or strong leadership potential – you actively invest in the development of your sales executives and take responsibility for people
  • A value- and solution-oriented approach to sales – you conduct client meetings as a conversation among equals, not as a presentation
  • Strong coaching mindset – you enjoy helping others improve, provide clear feedback, and prioritize team performance over your own deals
  • Structured thinking throughout the sales funnel – from SDR handoff to closing, with clarity but without rigidity
  • Very good German skills and business-fluent English
