For our Research & Development team, we are looking for a Product Owner who will work closely with a dedicated development team to further advance our cloud solutions and play a key role in shaping the baramundi Proactive Hub in the area of Big Data & Security.

At our Augsburg location, interdisciplinary teams from software development, testing, Scrum Mastering, Product Ownership and Agile Coaching work on the software products of tomorrow – 100% made in Germany. This role is not just about managing requirements, but about translating product ideas into clear, actionable steps, making technical complexity tangible and creating real value for our customers.

Do what you do best:

  • DRIVE SECURITY & COMPLIANCE INTELLIGENCE You are responsible for the security pillar of the baramundi Proactive Hub – from vulnerability intelligence and configuration management to infrastructure analytics. You translate complex security requirements into clear, actionable product increments and ensure that IT teams are proactively informed about risks and empowered to take action 
  • HELP SHAPE DATA LAKEHOUSE & BIG DATA Together with your dedicated development team, you drive the development of a powerful, scalable data infrastructure – as a core enabler for all data-driven features of the Proactive Hub. In doing so, you take the processing speed and quality of our data to a new level
  • DEVELOP PLATFORM & INTEGRATIONS FURTHER You actively shape the expansion of the Proactive Hub platform – by integrating external tools, third-party systems and interfaces with the goal of making the Hub the central hub in our customers’ IT management ecosystem 
  • THINK OF AI AS PART OF THE PRODUCT You actively help shape AI-powered features – from intelligent anomaly detection and LLM-based assistance functions to data-driven recommendations that proactively support IT administrators and enable them to take action 
  • DELIVER WITH YOUR TEAM You work closely with your dedicated development team, serve as their primary contact person for content-related and product-related questions and ensure that the team can work in a focused, informed and empowered way 
  • BE THE BRIDGE BETWEEN PM AND DEVELOPMENT You work closely with the Product Manager and UX/Design, facilitate requirements processes and ensure that the product vision remains tangible and actionable in day-to-day development work 
  • MANAGE THE BACKLOG WITH CLARITY You prioritize and maintain the product backlog in Azure DevOps, formulate precise acceptance criteria and definitions of done and create transparency around goals and progress 
  • HAVE FUN You find your place in a diverse, collegial environment and look forward to helping shape an exciting cloud product at the intersection of security, big data and AI 

What we appreciate about you:

  • Completed degree in computer science, business informatics, information security or a comparable qualification gained through practical experience 
  • At least 2–3 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable role with product responsibility
  • Knowledge of or strong interest in IT security, vulnerability management or big data / data platforms 
  • Basic understanding of AI technologies and their use in a product context – e.g. ML-based analytics, LLM-supported assistance functions or data-driven recommendation systems 
  • Basic understanding of cloud architectures and SaaS product development (ideally Azure) 
  • Ability to understand technical complexity and translate it into understandable, prioritizable requirements
  • Experience with agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and backlog tools, ideally Azure DevOps 
  • Strong analytical thinking, data-based decision-making and a high standard of quality 
  • Strong communication skills in German and English 
  • Bonus: background in IT administration or IT security, experience with enterprise IT environments or practical knowledge of Angular or modern frontend technologies
